ABOUT THE COACH

GARRET STROSHEIN

Former professional hockey enforcer with 5 years at the pro level — primarily in the AHL, with NHL experience — known for shifting momentum, protecting teammates, and leading through presence.

After years of real-time hockey fighting, I transitioned into martial arts, training in Muay Thai for over a decade and stepping into the ring myself. Over time, I learned that fighting isn’t about aggression — it’s about control. The more relaxed and composed you are, the more dangerous you become.

Hard Knocks Hockey Camp was built to bring that understanding into hockey – combining real fight training with the mental discipline of martial arts.

Beyond the physical side, this training builds a deeper level of confidence — the kind that comes from being tested, staying composed, and knowing you can handle yourself in any situation. It’s not just about reacting in the moment, but developing a calm, controlled presence that carries into every shift, every game, and every challenge.

Players leave not only more capable, but more certain in who they are and how they compete.
